SnapTotes!

So here are the pics I promised you, of the SnapTotes bag purchased at an auction. It came in yesterday and is really cute. My "studio" is in terrible disarray, due to this weekend's desert trip. So the "studio" is back to a garage for now, and these pics are the pitiful result of that. Hopefully you can get the idea of what a great purse this is!
And here is the new striped liner!
I totally want one!

Photography Workshop

So, Sunday I attended a photography workshop in La Jolla. Jason paid for it for me as a Christmas present. It was taught by my favorite local photographer. I had a great time. Alot of the technical stuff, I already had a pretty firm grasp of, I just tend to forget all of that knowledge when I start shooting. I just get so excited and overwhelmed, and I forget to use my brain. Go figure.

But the hands on was great. To have my photographer-idol behind me talking me through every shot was awesome! Afterward, we went to Chipotle in PB for lunch and she was willing to critique some of my favorite work. That was rewarding!

Here are some of the shots I got.

Talk with you soon about that super-cute Snaptotes purse that arrived today!

More Designing Fun!

I was asked to create a really cute, custom, photo birthday invitation for my friend Addisen's 2nd birthday. Addisen's mom decided to send in a snaphot for me to use on the invite. I prefer to take the picture myself, but often as a busy mom, we find we don't have time for that last minute photo session....either of us(although I will always try)! So, with my snapshot, themed scans and some fun background papers, I find myself immersed in Photo Shop CS2. Always a challenge for me, since I choose to learn through experience rather than books. But I feel the end result was perfect. It is themed just the way Addisen requested, and still conveys her sweet pink and purple personality! I hope Addisen and mommy like them!

Three Pretty Girls on a Very Pretty Day.

So, Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing three great girls. Their mom bid on an auction prize at a local school, that I had donated last year. The auction was for a portrait session and a SnapTotes photo bag. So mom, being the smart lady that she is, decides to get the portraits taken so she can order her SnapTote for Grandma's birthday this month. She hasn't decided on which picture to place on the bag yet, but these are just two my favorites.

These three "K's" were so fun to photograph. Once mom orders the purse, I will post a pic for you. I know it will be stunning!

First fun of the New Year!

Oh my gosh! I designed the cutest birthday invitation for my little friend Drew, who is about to turn FOUR years old! I wish I could post a picture of it, but I can't. He is a HUGE Chargers fan, so I created something special just for him. I think he really liked them. You know if you can impress a four year old, you've got it made, right?
